So Much Inspiration!

I’ve definitely had more energy these past few days. We were non-stop this weekend! My husband and I spent all day Friday packing the house (We move in September) because I wanted to take advantage of my energy and get some done before it’s too late. Then on Saturday, we packed some more, cleaned the house and went to the park with the dog. At the end of the night, we went to a Launch Party for a website that I created for work. The next day we met up with my best friend who has a 11 month old daughter and a 10 year old step son and went to a local festival in town and then ate a picnic at a park. I’m exhausted now! I need a weekend from my weekend!

I’m starting to get more and more inspired to sew things! I really really want to sew my own cloth diapers and baby clothes. And I found a facebook group today that has really adorable maxi dress and maternity clothes patterns for women! I can’t wait to set up a sewing room at the new house! If you have any suggestions for good patterns for cloth diapers (Free is always wanted!) or patterns for anything, let me know!

I’m so tired of being “poor” while we save up for this house. It’s so tiring to budget 24/7, create new grocery lists once a week, cook every night, never buy anything for ourselves, and do nothing fun because everything costs something. Now I’m not saying that once we move into the house we’re not going to be still “poor”, because let’s be honest, I’ll still have to budget with this baby coming late January. But I just want to be able to go out to eat once a week or two and not feel incredibly guilty! I want to buy paint for the nursery and accessories for the baby.

We’re going to have to make sure to really budget well in the beginning of my maternity leave as well. I plan on not working at all for at least one month and then slowly begin freelancing (I’m a graphic designer) from home until I feel ready to go back part-time, if that even happens. I might want to continue freelancing, my goal in life has always been to be a stay at home mom. Whether that’s supplementing our income through freelancing or homeschooling my children or maybe my sewing will turn out into something I can profit from! Whatever it is, I want to make sure I get to do what I want to do, at whatever cost that might be. It probably helps that I have a super supportive husband.

When I start sewing, I will post pictures of the results and where you can get the patterns! Also, definitely will post pictures of our process of decorating the new house, the nursery and our progress on the backyard.
